Oztent Apex Roof Top Tents Win Good Design Award

Oztent is proud to announce that the Apex Roof Top Tent Series — including the Apex RT-C-1400 and Apex RT-P-1600 models — has been recognised with a 2025 Australian Good Design Award Winner accolade in the Product Design – Sport and Lifestyle category.

The Australian Good Design Awards is one of the nation’s most prestigious programs recognising excellence in design and innovation. Each year, entries are rigorously assessed by an independent panel of more than 80 international jurors across three criteria: Good Design, Design Innovation, and Design Impact.

This year’s Awards were among the most competitive on record, with a high number of submissions and an exceptional calibre of projects represented across all categories.

The Good Design Awards Jury commended the Oztent Apex Series for its thoughtful engineering, usability, and robust construction:

“The Oztent Apex Series is made up of two premium, hard shell rooftop tents engineered for solo setup and ultimate off road comfort. The Oztent Apex series of roof top tents is a perfect example of studying your competition and releasing to market a potential segment leading offering. With a holistic design ethos, it is evident that every aspect of the roof top tent design was considered and where possible, improved upon. From the clever use of electronics through to safe operation and user comfort, to the considered use of robust and fit for purpose material selections throughout. The Jury commends the design feature offering the option for single user deployment through the use of a gas strut operated mechanism, and that user ingress and egress has been given a key focus with additional safety features in mind. The overall mix of fit for purpose design and meaningful integration of technology gives the feeling of a quality product that won't let you down when off the beaten track.
